So, What’s next? Following the seasons, the next book will take place in the summer realm. I haven’t fully started working on it yet but I’m hoping to delve into it more after the next couple weeks when the height of the release dies down a little.
It will be called Beauty Reborn and will center around the idea of the Phoenix rising from the ashes and life from death. The Phoenix has always been an intriguing mythical creature because it literally brings life from death. In my initial studies of this fascinating creature I started to see some correlations and I’m excited to flesh it out more and see where this next story takes me. Just some thoughts to wet the appetite for the next book:
Fire is a catalyst for transformation and cleansing
A Phoenix bird lives for 500 years and when it is time to die, it gathers wood and spices to build a place to die on, faces its fiery death without fear, and is reborn– sometimes things must die before they can live again
Phoenix tears are said to have healing powers
Ashes bring life and are significant in the Bible as a reminder of death and sorrow and our frailty as mankind and were used in times of grief and repentance
Ashes were also used as a sign of our ultimate redemption in Christ’s sacrifice and are a sign of our salvation and show we have been washed and cleansed in our sins
I hope you have enjoyed a glimpse into my books this week and I look forward to sharing more as my next book comes along. Tune in tomorrow for a special sale of my first two books and I hope you enjoy these stories!
