All right. I shared a little about this on Friday on my social media pages but some of you may have missed it. I’ve also shared bits and pieces here and there the last couple months but want to share a little more about this new venture.
I started getting an idea for a new series several months ago while I was finishing up my 3rd book in my fairytale series and I started writing the first book while final edits were being made on my other one. To clarify, I am also writing the 4th and final book in my fairytale series. I know, confusing. 2 different series in progress at the same time, but God laid this new story on my heart and I had to jump on it.
This new series is a modern day Christian adventure series similar to National Treasure. It follows Selah Cross and Dylan Kinkaide as they search for artifacts that prove the existence of God and the Bible.. This new series is quite different from my fairytale series and it was interesting making the switch from the fairytale genre to the modern day mystery, but I quickly fell in love with the characters and their stories in this new book and series and I am so excited to share them with you!!
I also wanted to give a shout out to a friend of mine who is an amazing artist and designed this beautiful cover for me. The self-publishing company I use, I usually just pick a stock photo from a website and they work their magic and make my covers how I want them. I had trouble finding a photo for this new book and series so I reached out to my friend and asked if she would be willing to do it. She did such an amazing job and I love, love, love this cover so much!! So thank you Hannah Wilson again for your beautiful cover design!! ❤️
This first book follows Selah Cross on a difficult faith journey as she is faced with incredible and unexpected trials. Selah’s parents were archeologists who worked with a secret group known as The Remnant to find and preserve artifacts connected to the Bible. The Remnant, we find out, is a secret group that was set up during Bible times to preserve the history of God, but while Selah’s parents were a part of the group, a new leader stepped in and changed the focus of the group to finding Biblical treasures for themselves. Her parents found a rare artifact called The Heart of God fifteen years before our story takes place, and they also lost their lives because of the artifact. An excavation team that works with the museum Selah works at finds the artifact 15 years later and she is instrumental in bringing the artifact to her museum. Selah also meets a handsome stranger named Dylan Kinkaide who is strangely interested in her parents work and the artifact. The night of the gala to reveal the artifact, the artifact goes missing and the next morning, the museum director turns up dead. All evidence points to Selah and her life is thrown together with Dylan Kinkaide’s as they set out to prove her innocence and find the Heart of God.
This story is more than just murder, mystery and romance. It’s a faith journey for both Selah and Dylan and they are forced to figure out what they believe and where the treasure of their hearts really lie.
As I’ve said, I’m so excited for this new series and for the release of this first book and can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks!! This went to publishing Friday so it will be releasing soon!!
And, as mentioned, I am writing the 4th book in my fairytale series and hoping to release that one in the fall to coincide with the Fall realm. It’s going to be a good one, so keep watching for more information on that one too in the coming months!! I am already planning a big party to celebrate this 4th and final book in my fairytale series and the completion of the series, so be keeping watch for more details in the coming months.
