Thank you to everyone who prayed for my book signing in Derby, KS this past weekend! I had a very special time with my friend and college roommate and was blessed to stay with her and meet her family. She has been such a huge supporter and source of encouragement through this whole writing journey and my personal life and I’m so grateful for her! Her and her girls are almost done reading my third book, Beauty Reborn, and I got to join in their reading time Friday night and read a little bit of it to them which was so special! I love how avidly they read books of all kinds and enjoyed watching them fill up their baskets at the library Saturday and very grown up check out their own books with their own library cards 😄 Reading is so important and I’m so glad to see younger kids still being excited to go to the library and read books! It was always a favorite time for me as a kid and a treat to get continued books in series I was reading or find new books! I have to say, Derby Public Library is a very nice library and were more than eager to have me and did so much to promote the Author meet and greet. You can tell they want to make an impact in their community and want to provide a place that meets people’s needs and showcases different parts of their community which is so cool to see. It is a beautiful library and a pleasure to be there!
I also got to meet up with another friend from my college years and meet her family and attend her church this weekend! Even though I didn’t sell as many books as we hoped to, it was such a blessing to see these two friends and watch how God has blessed them and see the beautiful moments in their lives!
One thing I ask is for prayers for my books to start selling and getting noticed. I know God has given me these stories and has written His truths into them through me and my greatest desire us to see these God-stories get into many hands. I have often felt the war with Satan and enemy forces through the writing, publishing and selling of my books from the beginning. I believe the messages God has given me through these stories are ones that Satan doesn’t want getting into the hands and hearts of the people of this world and it is a real and greatly felt battle every time these stories are about to make an impact. I feel it every time I write a powerful chapter or my book is getting ready to be published or released or ahead of events that will get my books into more hands. Please pray for these stories and even my blog or video posts to get into the right hands and for people that need the messages woven into these books to find them and be impacted. Please pray for Satan’s attempts to keep these stories from going anywhere to be bound up and overcome by God’s greater power. Please pray for these stories to get into the hands of many and whether the reader is believer or non-believer, please pray they will be encouraged and see the deeper stories within. Pray for beneficial contacts to made with the right people at the right time that would be instrumental in getting these stories into the right hands. Pray the messages resonate in their hearts and that they will see a reflection of God in these pages and that these books will be used for His glory on this earth.
